The Orleans Police Department has several specialized units separate from the normal duties of patrol and crime prevention. The officers involved in these units receive specialized and unique training to deal with events and situations that may arise outside of the normal duties of patrol. These units and services are designed to assist citizens as well as to represent the town in events that are outside of the borders of Orleans.
