The Town of Orleans invites all shellfish permit holders to take part in the annual Thanksgiving Oyster Harvest beginning at sunrise on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Oysters will be available for recreational harvest in Pleasant Bay, off the Route 28 Landing. The designated harvest area is accessible from shore at low tide.
Eligibility: All valid Town of Orleans family permit holders may harvest one (1) 10-quart basket per week.
Commercial permit holders may also harvest one (1) 10-quart basket per week, for family use only.
Size requirement: Oysters must measure at least 3 inches in length.
