Adaptive Management is a process used to adjust aspects of wastewater system planning and implementation to consider new information, new technology, and progress to date.
In addition to traditional engineering tasks, AECOM is responsible for the design and implementation of demonstration projects exploring several complementary non-traditional options for nitrogen removal, including floating constructed wetlands, aquaculture, and permeable reactive barriers (PRBs).
Included in this section are presentations given at Board of Selectmen meetings, the Orleans Water Quality Advisory Panel, and by AECOM on a variety of topics relating to wastewater management in the Town of Orleans.
Traditional wastewater engineering and planning services provided by AECOM are focused on conventional wastewater treatment with sewerage infrastructure for conveyance from the Downtown and Meetinghouse Pond Areas, effluent disposal, and the decommissioning of the Tri-Town treatment facility.
